About

James “Buck3000” Olowokere – Music Producer | Audio Engineer | Filmmaker

I am a Grammy Award-winning audio engineer, music producer, and digital cinematographer with nearly 30 years of experience in music production, mixing, mastering, and sync licensing. Growing up between the Bronx and Nigeria, I developed a deep love for hip-hop, Afrobeats, R&B, pop, and African diaspora music—blending cultural influences to create a sound that’s globally inspired and deeply rooted in identity.

As the CEO of Afrowave Entertainment, my mission is to push creative boundaries in music and film by producing high-quality, culture-driven content that reflects the spirit of Pan-Africanism—celebrating unity, resilience, and the global power of African culture. I’ve had the honor of working with A-list artists such as Ja Rule, Ashanti, Jennifer Lopez, Pink, and Mariah Carey, contributing to chart-topping hits and industry-defining sound.

With a Bachelor’s degree in Digital Cinematography and a Master’s degree in Entertainment Business, I bring both creative and strategic expertise to every project. I’m passionate about the intersection of storytelling, sound, and entrepreneurship, and I strive to create unforgettable experiences that connect people across cultures through film, music, and media.

If you’re an artist, filmmaker, or content creator who believes in the power of culture and collaboration, let’s work together. We can tell powerful stories that uplift, inspire, and resonate with audiences around the world.

My Why

My “why” is rooted in a deep desire to create, inspire, and connect people through the universal languages of music and storytelling. As a Nigerian-American who has experienced the richness of African culture and the diversity of the global stage, I feel called to bridge worlds, amplify voices, and celebrate the beauty of the African diaspora.

I create because I believe in the transformative power of music and film to heal, educate, and unite. I want to provide opportunities for others—whether it’s helping an artist find their sound, creating jobs in the entertainment industry, or crafting stories that resonate with audiences worldwide.

My work is more than a career; it’s a mission to elevate African culture, highlight shared human experiences, and leave a legacy of empowerment and unity. I want to give back, provide solutions, and inspire others to realize their potential while ensuring my family and future generations thrive.

Ultimately, my “why” is about making the world a better place through creativity, connection, and purpose.
